We spent a large chunk of our PPI meeting discussing the upcoming pride month. First, we will be representing our organization (with kindness rocks and other fun activities!) at Spencer Pride, the largest rural LGBTQ+ gathering in the state of Indiana all day on June 2 in downtown Spencer, and several of us will attend Indy Pride a week later to celebrate in the big city: https://indypride.org/
But we are most excited about our own small-town celebration, PPI's Second Annual Community Pride Picnic, on Saturday June 23 from 5 PM-dusk at Robe Ann Park in Greencastle (shelter #5). Last year's picnic was a roaring success and we want to improve upon that event this June. The whole commuity is invited to celebrate with us. We'll have lots of food and drinks to share (but please bring a dish to share if you are able)! We'll have lots of fun for the kids (and adults) from 5-7:30 face painting, a drum circle, chalk drawing, rock decorating, piñatas and more. If all goes well we'll even have a dance party starting at 7:30! This is a chance for all of our allies to come out and celebrate summer with PRIDE!
